Invention

Invention and Independent Application Phase

Eventually, children move on to the third phase, which is when they apply independently what has been taught and practised.  For their invention, children utilise the skills and knowledge they have developed across the unit in context. This could be in English writing or cross-curricular lessons. They independently plan, write and edit their work. These are used as their assessed pieces for teacher assessment.
