Year 5&6 Sports report by Lili 6CC
"On Tuesday, 19th November, students from Y5 and Y6 participated in a sports fixture against Danesfield Middle School. I really enjoyed it. My favourite sport that we did was volleyball although it was new for me. I like trying new things and this was definitely a great, great experience. I think we represented Minehead Middle School with pride, and we worked together as a team. It was a great day; we had a barrel of laughs on the way there and back."
On Monday 30th September, in wet and windy conditions a team of year 5 and 6 travelled to Bridgwater & Taunton College to take part in a fun invasion games festival. Despite the challenging conditions the team played brilliantly, worked well together and with others. They represented the school superbly! We played matches in ultimate frisbee, handball, catchball and football. Well done to everyone involved. T Leighton
In the first sporting fixture of the term on Tuesday 24th September, the year 7 boys basketball team travelled to Monkton Wood Academy for a basketball festival. The boys played excellently in many quick-fire matches against Monkton Wood, Castle and Danesfield teams respectively. As the matches progressed the boys demonstrated some superb passing and teamwork and learnt some new skills in defending and attacking rebounds. Well done to all the boys involved who represented the school admirably. T.Leighton
