Tuesday 4th January 2021- 21:49 update
Following a directive from the Government, our school will close tomorrow until further notice and all lessons will be taught online through Google Classroom. Obviously, this is very disappointing and frustrating for all of us. We learnt a great deal from the last lockdown and are much better placed to provide lessons and a more normal learning experience than before.
From tomorrow, only children who have a key worker parent (as defined by the government) and where there is no other adult in the home to look after them and children under the care of social services will be able to attend school. For our Year 7 and 8 children it is those that were in school today. All Key worker children need to arrive at their normal time and via their usual entrance. Please could children wear school uniform as normal. If your child usually has a school dinner this will be provided as normal. Arrangements for children entitled to free school lunches will be communicated tomorrow.
In KS2 your child's teacher will be in touch tomorrow to speak to their tutor groups although home learning will not commence until Wednesday 6th January for KS2 to allow time for staff to prepare tomorrow. Home learning will continue as today for KS3 following their normal school timetable.
