The range of performing arts activities includes:
1. Improvising and working in role.
2. Devising, scripting and performing in plays.
3. Discussing and reviewing their own and others’ performances.
The performing arts curriculum has been thoughtfully designed to improve each individual's skills in performing arts whilst carefully linking to other areas of the curriculum and life in the wider world.
Performing Arts: Music
Our Music curriculum provides a safe and supportive space where students can develop their confidence, creativity, and performance skills. We actively nourish and support every student, encouraging them to explore their talents and express themselves through singing, playing instruments, and performing in front of others.
Singing and performance are always encouraged in a positive and supportive way, helping students to build self-belief and resilience. We value hard work, determination, and perseverance, recognising that these qualities are central to success in music and beyond.
Our curriculum is carefully designed to ensure clear coverage and progression, allowing students to expand both their musical knowledge and practical skills as they move through the school. We are proud to provide a highly inclusive environment, where every student has the opportunity to participate, flourish, and enjoy the power of music.
